About CIT - TLC
Coimbatore Institute of Technology has been approved as Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) under the scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in December 2017. MHRD has sanctioned a grant to establish Teaching Learning Centre in Coimbatore Institute of Technology for Raising the Quality of Teaching through training, retraining, refresher, and orientation programs in the disciplines of Academic, Research, and Management (ARM). CIT – TLC is established to improve the quality of teachers of technical education institutions in the regions of Tamil Nadu (West), Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Pondicherry. During the pandemic period, CIT – TLC has served around 8000 faculty members & Research Scholars through webinars and virtual FDP’s. The Center of Excellence in Cyber Security is the next milestone in the progress of CIT-TLC. The CoE in Cyber Security is housed in the new TLC Building with state-of-the-art facilities equipped with Training halls & Simulators.

Cyber Security has become more important than ever before in today’s digital life. Due to the unprecedented surge in cyber-attacks, the demand for Cyber Security talent in various industries in India will increase. The field of Cyber Security brings in many job opportunities as organizations are always on the lookout for skilled professionals, who can protect the companies’ information and ensure that data is not breached. According to an estimate, the Cyber Security market in India is expected to grow from USD 1.97 billion in 2019 to USD 3.05 billion by 2022. In response to the above demand, there is an imperative societal need to prepare the students to meet the future industry requirements in the area of Cyber Security.
